United Campus Ministry, Tulsa University, Tulsa, OK

In May of 2009 a group of students from TU’s United Campus Ministry traveled to Chacraseca and Santa Emilia with JustHope.   Upon returning, they initiated a project to remodel a dilapidated house that nine young women from poor communities are using as a make-shift dorm so that they can attend school. 

One of the young women will be returning for a semester study-abroad program for the Spring Semester, 2010.  Interest in both the project and the budding relationship has spread and JustHope is now in the process of developing an internship program with the University and exploring other options for student and faculty involvement.
